Iron Shields are medium-sized shields that adventurers wear on their non-weapon hands to protect themselves from attack. They are similar to Wooden Shields, but larger and stronger due to their being made of hard iron rather than wood. The Iron Shield still leaves much of the hero vulnerable to attack, and does little to protect him from magical assault.
