Summary

Description
English: A historical paper capacitor (specifically a metallized paper capacitor) whose capacitance is given in "cm" (centimetres, using the Gaussian system of CGS units). The capacitance correlates to the radius from 5000 cm (50 metres) of a metal sphere. A capacitance of 1 cm in Gaussian units is equivalent to approximately 1.1 pF (picofarads) in the SI system of units.
