Before you begin to admit students you should create courses and the various batches in which you plan to admit the students. In our playschool lets assume that we run a course "Tiny Tots" and have two batches for this course. Lets setup the course. Click the General Settings | Manage Course and Batches | Manage Courses. Fill up the form by entering the Course Name, Section Name (Batch) and Code and save it.
Click the General Settings | Manage Course and Batches | Manage Batches. Select the course that you just created and Fedena will display the active batches (or Sections). After having created the course you can specify the grading system. The grading system can be common across all courses or specific to a particular course. Click "Grading System". A sample grading system that ships with Fedena is displayed, you can modify this if you wish.
Click the General Settings | Manage Course and Batches | Manage Batches. Select the course that you just created and Fedena will display the active batches (or Sections). To transfer graduating students to the next class/course click "Batch Transfers". Fedena will list all students who are part of the batch. Clicking on "Save" will, by default promote all students to the next course so make sure that you uncheck those students who have failed to graduate and then click on the "Save" button.
