Balangu is a meat delicacy commonly consumed in the northern part of Nigeria. It is similar to suya, but balangu is made from ram meat. It is also known as suya plus.

- Mutton
- Black pepper
- Ground cayenne pepper (optional)
- Nutmeg (optional)
- Garlic (optional)
- Stock cube
- Salt
- Vegetable oil
- Onions
Special equipment[edit | edit source]
Procedure[edit | edit source]
- Boil the mutton for 2 minutes in a pot with a small amount of water. Drain.
- Cut the cooked meat into pieces of your desired size.
- Season the meat to taste with pepper, cayenne, nutmeg, garlic, stock cube, and salt.
- Brush the seasoned meat with oil, and roast in the oven.
- Serve with onions.
