The quantity \mathbb{I}^* denotes the complex conjugate of the phasor current. To get the complex conjugate of \mathbb{I}, we have two formulas:

Given: \mathbb{I} = A + jB = M \angle \phi

  • \mathbb{I}^* = A - jB (rectangular)
  • \mathbb{I}^* = M \angle -\phi (polar)
