# Scheveningen Variation, English Attack

With 6. Be3, white begins a standard English attack setup. White will play f3, g4, Qd2 and O-O-O in some order, setting up a kingside pawn storm targeted towards black's king. In response, black will play a6 and b5 and set up a pawn attack on the queenside against white's king.

Note that the standard 6...a6 from black transposes into a hybrid Najdorf/Scheveningen, and allows white to begin the Perenyi Attack with 7.g4 if desired.
