Botvinnik Variation[edit | edit source]

Welcome to the Botvinnik Slav, the highway of wild variations, where crazy tactical complications fill the board.

Black boldly accepts the gambit pawn, but later black will be the one to be down a pawn. White almost always plays 6. e4 here to gain the entire Center. Play is very sharp here and if either player forgets the theory, they lose on the spot.
