Expressing Feelings and Emotions With Verbs Instead of Adjectives[edit | edit source]

Some expressions that would be phrased in English like "I am tired," for example, rather use a single verb in Cherokee meaning "to be [a certain feeling/emotion]" instead of a combination of a verb (like "to be" in English) with an adjective. These feeling and emotion verbs should be simply memorized.
