Missing License[edit source]

Many of the images you have recently uploaded are missing a license. They will be deleted after August 5th if one if not applied by then. It appears it is your own personal work, so, I woud suggest adding {{pd:self}} to each image. That license realeases it into public domain. Communication Systems[edit source]

I've been watching your work, and you're doing a really good job! The stuff you are writing is excellent. If you want to move pages around, rename pages, delete pages, or add new pages, please feel free to do so. The outline that I had was a bit naive and could probably use some improvement. Re: Image Licenses[edit source]

It's actually very easy. All the images are pages, just like pages in your book. The only difference is that they have the word "Image:" in front of them. So, you can go to "Image:Transmission line.gif" and add any information that you missed when you uploaded them. Here is a list of all images you've uploaded:

Correlative Coding[edit source]

I removed a red link (a link to a page that doesn't yet exist, in case you've never heard that term before) to a page called "Correlative Coding" from the TOC of the Communication Systems book. It's a topic that I think might be better suited in the Data Coding Theory book instead. Images which contain only text[edit source]

In general, everything is easier if we display information with text, wikitext, and LaTeX markup. In practice, I know it's difficult to translate images like these into text, especially if you already have the images in your possession, or if you aren't totally familiar with our LaTeX and Tables markup.

I would say right now not to worry about this issue. I may go through and try to replace some of these images with text, if I think I can do it accurately. I hope you don't mind if I remove and possibly delete some of these images if they can be adequately replaced. Let me know if it's a problem. You're right, some kind of macro or automation or simplification for our messy tables syntax would be much appreciated. Unfortunately, no intrepid programmers have taken up the challenge yet. I might be able to put together something with javascript, but the first step would be to know what it should be and how we could make it better then it already is. Preview[edit source]

I would suggest you use the preview function a bit more. Making dozens of edits like this[1] in a row is clogging up the recent changes. I would also suggest that you mark your minor edits, which adding line breaks definitely are. Icewedge (talk) 23:22, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
