Guiyang is the capital of Guizhou province. It is the political, economical, cultural, educational, transportational and tourism service center of Guizhou. It is a transportation and communication center of the southwest region in China linking Zhu Jiang Delta and Chang Jiang Delta. It is an eco-tourism city. It is an economically divided city. Guiyang is located in the central part of Guizhou, in the east of Yunan-Guizhou Plateau, and in the region where Chang Jiang basin and Zhu Jiang basin is diverged. The highest above sea level of Guiyang is 1,762m, and the lowest is 506m. It has an area of 8,046km2, with a population of 4,600,000+.
