Diplodocus means "Double Beam".

This refers to tail vertebrae having two chevrons on them.

Diplodocus lived during the Jurassic Period.

Anatomy[edit | edit source]

They are one of the longest dinosaurs ever.

They have very small heads (2 feet) compared to the 85 feet of its total body.

They had peg shaped teeth.

Diplodocus are sauropods.

All sauropods are dinosaurs.

All dinosaurs are amniotes and all dinosaurs are tetrapods.
