Wikijunior:World Religions/Contributing

From Wikibooks, open books for an open world
Jump to navigation Jump to search

When working on this book, remember that it's aimed at children. Being understood is just as important as being accurate. Concentrate on the most important concepts rather than getting wrapped up in every detail. Use technical vocabulary when you need to, but don't use big words where simple ones would work.

This is intended to be a basic survey of different religions, not an in-depth study. The essence of each religion should come through, though, so the traits and circumstances that make it unique should be explored. The standard questions listed below are meant to be open enough to encompass many of these special considerations — but when they won't do the job properly, feel free to add additional sections.

Please, if you can contribute to this book, do so. Many sections are incomplete or in need of cleanup or a complete rewrite. You can work on almost anything including this page, but if you want to make some significant changes please bring them up on the discussion page. Additional religions are welcome, but please try to add some content when you list them.
