Wikijunior:Summer Flowers of Northern New England/Chelidonium majus
Celandine is a bushy plant with yellow flowers. Each flower has four petals, each about a half inch long (making the whole flower about one inch across). The leaves look a little bit like an oak leaf, with scalloped edges. It makes a yellow sap that can stain the hands and clothes, so be careful if you handle it. Sometimes the sap will cause a skin rash too. The plant has many medicinal uses.
