The Kurdish language is the language of the Kurdish people. The Kurdish population are about 45 million living in Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Syria and Russia.

The Kurdish language are either written in a Latin alphabet called the Bedirxan alphabet or Hawar alphabet (after the Hawar magazine) or an Arabic script called the Sorani alphabet or Central Kurdish alphabet.
