Atlanta[edit | edit source]

Atlanta is the largest city in the Southeastern USA state of Georgia. It has a population about 490,000.

Climate[edit | edit source]

The climate of Atlanta is a typical southeastern climate: hot summers, mild winters. However, in Atlanta, there is almost always a guarantee of 1 or 2 days of snow, simply because air masses from the north come in - a polar vortex forms and there is a huge jet stream dip, resulting in polar air reaching there and if there is enough moisture, up to 2 inches of snow is possible (even 6 inches happened December 2017 in Marietta, a suburb of Atlanta).
