Ffurfiau (Gorffenol) Past Tense Endings
|Fi (I)||-ais i||Ni (We)||-on ni|
|Ti (You)||-aist ti||Chi (You)||-och chi|
|Fe (He)||-odd e/o||Nhw (They)||-on nhw|
- Each verb in Welsh has a stem. Adding an ending to this stem changes the tense of the verb.
- Usually, the stem of a verb is everything minus the last vowel. However, there are exceptions to this rule. Learn the exceptions one-by-one as you come across them.
- Remember, any object after a short form verb takes a soft mutation.
