I've been a user and have a profile since 2006 (in French). While I did some editions, that was minor and didn't really pay attention to the project other than reading and finding it an interesting starting point when doing research.

Recently, it came to my attention that most of the Wikipedians are men and that has an impact on the way women are represented, and the number of pages dedicated to them.

I've thus decided to give a bit of my time to this project and while I don't necessarily focus on women's biography pages, the fact that I'm a woman myself should be already changing a bit the statistics....
