Map showing the location of Hyena's.

There are four different species of Hyena: The Spotted Hyena, the Brown Hyena, the Striped Hyena, and the Aardwolf. What does it look like?

What does it eat?[edit | edit source]

The Aardwolf eats termites, and the other three types of Hyena are hunters and scavengers.

Where do they live?[edit | edit source]

With the exception of the Striped Hyena which has been seen in the jungles of India, all Hyena can be found in the arid environments like African savannahs and deserts. They can also be found in grasslands, woodlands, forest edges, subdeserts and small mountains.

How does it defend itself?[edit | edit source]
