Living in Barcelona. Native German, local Catalan, English as a foreign language. More languages: Latin based (read books) and Asian (tourist). I like traveling, for example walking from Wuhan to Yellow river (2018 + 2019, villages and cities, not wilderness). University education in physics. Employed as software developer, doing shipping label barcodes and similar.

Today I made my first Wikibook edit. In the Annotations to James Joyce's Ulysses. In Wikipedia, I do few occasional edits, did the first German translation of the Catalan article on Carles Puigdemont (one day before his election as Catalan president, when the Catalan article was still short) and spent a lot of time on the first Catalan version of the Kunyu Wanguo Quantu article.

I started reading Ulysses for the first time in early February 2020, borrowing the Jeri Johnsson edition of the 1922 text from a public library here in Barcelona. When I returned it, end of February 2020, I had read it half through. My intention was to borrow it again beginning of March, to read the remaining half, but then the library was closed for the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, December 2020, I have arrived at the last chapter, in the same library copy, borrowed the second time. At page 704 of 732, I decided to contribute to Annotations to James Joyce's Ulysses having approximately completed the recommendation to read it on my own first, and having the impression that annotations are thinning out (to nothing, currently?) for the later chapters.
