The Tundra[edit | edit source]

Where the Tundra is

The Tundra is a alpine area with limited vegetation. There are three types of tundra, Artic Tundra, Alpine Tundra and the Antartic Tundra. The temperature is usually the very low because of where it is located. Most Tundra is in the polar regions which explains the temperature. The Tundra can usually have a spectacular light show as the Aurora borealis can blow peoples minds away!

Weather[edit | edit source]

The temperatures of the tundra are fascinating as they can go down to as far as -34 degrees. This cold 'desert' is as dry and lifeless as any other place in the desert you could think of. The plant life is only adapted plants that can survive the cold and harsh winters. From storms to the driest of cold areas tundra is just purely freezing

Aurora Borealis[edit | edit source]

A polar light sometimes referred to an Aurora is a natural light display in the sky. When the magnetosphere is disturbed by the solar wind Auroras are produced. The form of the Aurora occurs with bands around the polar regions. Most Auroras occur in a place known as the Auroral zone which is normally home to the lights themselves. .https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Aurora_Australis.ogv
