Hi, my name is Sarah Macomber. I am a commuter, and I live in Virginia Beach with my parents. I have lived in Virginia Beach my whole life, and absolutely love living by the beach. Until recently, I was an Asian Studies major, having studied Japanese for 6 years, in high school and here at ODU. I decided that Japanese was not what I wanted to do with my life, and I focused on my other passion, which has always been art. I changed my major to Art Education last semester, and I have a lot of catching up to do! I would love to teach elementary school, but I am still debating whether or not I should get my masters in art therapy and work at CHKD. I feel like I would love either career, and would be happy either way.

As an art teacher, I want to make my class fun and enthusiastic. I know that a lot of times art teachers are made to incorporate SOL information from other classes into their lessons, but I want to make art as much of an escape as I can. I also want to incorporate art history and information about the artists in my lessons.
