THE MOST IMPORTANT THING

The most important thing to me is music. It is my everything. Singing is my favorite thing in the world.

"Music's the only thing that makes sense anymore. If you play it loud enough it'll keep the demons at bay" ---Jo Jo, Across the Universe

MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

To me, teaching is the greatest profession. Teachers are what makes society great, and they are often not given the credit that they deserve. Since the begining of organized education, teachers have gained more and more respect from those in other porfessions, but teachers are still not reveared by the public-at-large in the way that they should. One can only hope that within the next decade, the public will continue to see the importance of teachers and award them the credit that they so honestly deserve.

The best educator is one who can not only keep his or her students throughly engaged but also can be a definitive informant. The best educator is also one who can successfully run coherent class discussions without allowing the class to vere too far from the topic at hand. The best educator commands respect without being a tyrant and is not only an authority figure but a friend to his or her students. Last, but not least, the best educator is one who, from the bottom of their heart, loves teaching new generations life skills that will help them succed in life.

As an educator, I hope to be all of these things. I hope to be an impact in the lives of all of my students. I hope that I remain in their memories, not because of how "totally hard" my class was, or how "super mean" I was, but because of the enthuiastic attutide that I was always able to maintain.
