Hi there,

I am a Russian teacher who has lived in London over 20 years. Together with family and friends we make videos to help students learn Russian.

I started making my first site in January 2010 However I realised that I need other teachers to help me and therefore I have remade the site as wiki, so other teachers can help me to teach Russian and the students can ask us their questions. I have opened the facebook group and we started to make translations of the site into different languages. We want to use the direct method of teaching, we are teaching Russian in Russian.

I started to make to enable language students (of any language) to make translations of folk songs, fairy-tales, cartoons and prayers, etc. from a target language to their native language (any language as well) and other way around. I want this site to help students to learn a new language and teachers to teach thier language. I hope that in the process of this work the users of this wiki will make friends and start having conversations not only on the wiki site, but on skype, etc. I have opened facebook group.

We have made translations and voiceovers for the Russian fairy-tale Курочка ряба into English, French, Italian, Greek, etc. We want to translate all the fairy-tales of the world!

If anyone is interested in helping us out, please do!
