the tundra biome is the coldest of the biomes it can drop to -34 degrease Celsius  and reach 12 degrease Celsius if you are There when its as low as it can get you will freeze to death.

where does the word tundra come from

The word Tundra comes from the Finish word tunturia which means treeless plains/land
The biome is the driest place on earth its rainfall is about 10 inches a year
there is two types of tundra alphine and arctic.

polar bears, caribou, arctic fox, arctic hare, snowy owl, musk ox and the rock ptarmigan.

polar bears have exceptionally thick coat which keeps them warm in the extreme weather also polar bears eat other animals that live in the tundra this means they can live on them

snowy owl

snowy owls are covered in feathers even there feet this keeps them warm during extremely cold days. also snowy owls eat arctic fox's so they can live on them.
