Hello everyone. My name is Lori Paulette. I have been married to the same wonderful man for the last 24 1/2 years, and I have three adult children (1 girl, 2 boys). Next to spending time with my family, my favorite pasttime is reading. I love to read! Give me a good romance or a truly engaging suspense novel and I'm happy. I'm a huge fan of Christine Feehan, Nora Roberts, and Linda Howard. All three of my children enjoy reading, especially my oldest son who's on a first-name basis with our local librarian.

I have been working as an instructional aide at Amelia Middle School for the last nine years. When I finally obtain my teaching degree, I hope to be teaching 8th grade Language Arts. I have been very lucky to work in the classroom with some of the best teachers in our school system, and I feel they have taught me a great deal. I hope I can emulate some of their wonderful teaching strategies. One of the best instructors I have observed is a special education teacher who constantly strives to find new and exciting ways for her students to learn.

My teaching philosophy is very simple. It takes more than just a degree to make a good teacher. It takes caring and dedication as well as a willingness to sometimes step outside our own adult world to see things from the perspective of a child. If I can touch just one young life and truly make a difference to that child, then all my hard work will be worth it.
