Islam An American friend asked me; what is Islam? Well, I replied submission to God.

    My friend wanted to know more about the religion of Islam so I decided to pot a brief introduction of Islam for whoever is interested to know about it.

    Islam has spread from Arabia Peninsula around 1400 years ago by a chosen one name Muhammad.  At the age of 40 this man was chosen to be Lord’s last messenger on Earth.  Prophet Muhammad was not able to either write or read.  He did not write the holy book Quran.  It was reveled to him by the Angle Gabriel in Mount Hara which is located in Saudi Arabia.  The religion of Islam has spread quickly all over the world.  Right now there are 108 billion Muslims in the world in the second major religion on Earth.
    There are two major sects: Sunnis whom are about 90% of the Muslims of the world and the rest are Shiite.  They both worship only one God.   Both they do disagree in the doctrines.

 Who is a true Muslim? Anyone who believe in only God  Who is without child, parents, or wife.  God does not have an equal  God is not created by any other being.  Any one whom believes in these rules is a Muslim

 There are five pillars which must be followed:  Delectation of Faith  Five times daily Prayers  Giving to the charity from a portion of your wealth  Establishing a Family  Taking a trip to Mecca for Hij if your finical situation permits you

We are peaceful people. God has instructed us to be respectful and tolerant toward the people of scriptures’. God has mentioned in Oran 5:87 that Lord does not like aggressors. Also in Koran 49:13 has mentioned “O people, we created you from the same male and female and rendered distinct people, that you may recognize one another.
