The Kamo shrines defent the Northeastern side of Kyoto. There are two main shrines Kamigamo Shrine and Shimogamo Shrine. .[1][2]


They do not have a very well known historical or mythical origin


Kamigamo shrine worrhips Ajisukitakahikone under another name


Shimogamo shrine worships Tamakushi-hime (玉依姫命) and Kamotaketsunumi no Mikoto (賀茂建角身命)
