what does wikibook offer?

It allows users all over the world to work together and write textbooks and some instructional books in certain topics. It is an online volunteer collaborative community which means anyone can explore it. These are effective tools for both quite big group projects and for widespread collaboration. In several WikiBooks initiatives, this concept appears to be effective. A wiki allows for the testing(and live updating)of tutorials. Then, these might be combined to create a downloadable textbook. For instance, it can be done for flash tutorials with a lot of additional work. We already produce PDFs for handouts. Additionaly, one can occasionally gain assistance from users to edit typos and broken links. In Wiki, cross references and references to outside sources are simple to make and change. This can be problematic in some word processors, such as Word(all versions),which is a complete mess when it comes to cross referencing and other tagging.

How can a teacher use wikibooks in the classroom?

Educators and teachers are using wikis as an effective teaching and learning process. Therefore, a teacher can print books from wikibooks and use them as a teaching aid in class. Some schools generally do not have enough textbooks so a teacher can instruct learners to find certain textbooks on wikiBooks in order to study.Wikis can be used to engage learners in learning with others. In the traditional classroom information with Wikis, students can collaboratively create a great deal of that classroom information.
