Hello! I am a retired statistics professor. I have a Ph.D. from the University of California at Davis in Statistics, am a Fellow of both the American Statistical Association and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and am former editor of The American Statistician. My "main" claim to fame is my development of resampling methods for familywise error rate-controlling multiple testing/comparison methods, but more recently I have become interested in correcting outdated and incorrect notions of kurtosis that are remarkably persistent.
