I was born and raised in Suffolk, Virginia and I commute to O.D.U twice a week. Im 20 years old and my boyfriend is a U.S. Marine who will be deploying this summer. I work at Red Lobster in Chesapeake as a hostess. I'm in the Pre-K through 6 program and I cant wait to graduate and finally start teaching. My hobbies are photography and learning about the weather. I love tornadoes. One day I hope to get a masters degree in Atmospheric Science and Meteorology.
I knew that I wanted to become a teacher during the summer after my senior year of high school when I was working at Main street Methodist Daycare in Suffolk. I worked in the Pre-K department and was often asked to substitute for the teachers on vacation. I learned that children respond the best to a teacher who is as enthusiastic and excited about learning as they are. That's why my educational philosophy is to always be interactive, positive, and excited as a teacher. I want to be a role model to my students and have students who are excited to come to class.
