Jeyasingh Nithianandam

Instructor, ENES 100

I have a M.Sc from Madurai Kamaraj University in India and I specialized in Electronics, Telecommunications and Physics. I have a Ph.D degree in solid state physics from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. I did my doctoral dissertation research on semiconductor super-lattice devices and electronic materials.

I have worked as a resident research associate at the U.S Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C, as a scientist at Boeing Satellite International (formerly known as Hughes Space and Communications Company) in Los Angeles, CA and a senior scientist at Hughes STX Corporation (now Raytheon Corporation). I worked in communications electronics, electronic packaging, remote sensing, optical and electronic structural properties of natural diamond and thin CVD diamond films.

I taught graduate and undergraduate EE students and Physics students at universities and colleges in the US and in India for several years. I have undertaken research at Morgan State University with graduate and undergraduate EE students, engineering/physics faculty colleagues, and industry partners on variety of topics, but primarily on RF/Microwave engineering, communication electronics, micro- and nano-electronics, antennas and electromagnetic radiation propagation, remote sensing, and photonics. I have served as a faculty principal investigator of several electrical engineering research contracts and grants from government agencies, private industries and other research organizations.

I taught courses on "Electric Circuits" and "Elements of Discrete Signals" to students at Howard Community College during spring 2014 semester.

I currently work on engineering projects .. with
