# Units of Measurement/Force

From Wikibooks, open books for an open world

SI unit of Force is Newtons (N). 1 Newton is equal to 1 kg*m*s^-2. The basic formula for force is F=ma where F stands for force, m stands for mass in kilograms and a stands for acceleration in m*s^-2. This is the Newton's second law of motion.
