Access to NPMRDS Data[edit | edit source]

The data set is made available to States and Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) as a tool for performance measurement. Access can be obtained by emailing e-mail Heretraffic.nhsdata@here.com. [1]

More information regarding access to the NPMRDS data can be found at http://www.ops.fhwa.dot.gov/freight/freight_analysis/perform_meas/vpds/npmrdsfaqs.htm.

The data typically come out each month in the form of seven compressed .tar files. The files include:

  1. Documentation
  2. Canadian and Mexican border data
  3. Midwest
  4. Northeast
  5. South
  6. US
  7. West
