Zhong He Tang is composed of:

  1. Ren Shen (Radix et Rhizoma Ginseng)  : 6g
  2. Chen Pi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae)  : 6g
  3. Huang Qi (Radix Astragali)  : 4.5g
  4. Bai Zhu (Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae)  : 4.5g
  5. Dang Gui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis) : 4.5g
  6. Bai Zhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae)  : 4.5g
  7. Fu Ling (Poria)  : 3g
  8. Chuan Xiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong) : 3g
  9. Zao Jiao Ci (Spina Gleditsiae), chao (dry-fried)  : 3g
  10. Ru Xiang (Gummi Olibanum)  : 3g
  11. Mo Yao (Myrrha)  : 3g
  12. Jin Yin Hua (Flos Lonicerae Japonicae)  : 3g
  13. Gan Cao (Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae)  : 3g

Note:

  1. The herbs are cooked in a solution comprised of equal portions of water and grain-based liquor.
  2. This formula is used in TCM to treat half-yin and half-yang type of abscesses and sores, that seem to perforate but actually do not.
