Electric Field for a charged body is a region or space around it in which its influence can be felt.Theoretically, this space extends to infinity. Measurement:Let r be the position vector at which we want to find the electric field due to a given charge q(say), then electric field at this point will be the ratio of force acting on that point(position vector r) to charge on the body.
