Evrim Baran

Evrim Baran is an assistant professor at the Department of Educational Sciences at Middle East Technical University, Turkey. She received her Ph.D. on Curriculum and Instructional Technology and Human Computer Interaction at Iowa State University. Prior to her position at METU, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow within the department of Curriculum and Pedagogy at the University of British Columbia, Canada. Dr. Baran worked as an instructor and researcher at the Center for Technology in Learning and Teaching at Iowa State University for four years. She also has a four years of industry experience as an instructional designer in an educational software development company in Turkey. Recently, she received the European Commission's Marie Curie Career Integration grant that will support her research on mobile applications and teacher education. Dr. Baran's research focuses on learning technologies and teacher education. She teaches graduate courses on technology in teacher education and learning sciences. Nehir Yasan

Nehir Yasan is a research assistant and a PhD student in department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology at Middle East Technical University. She graduated as a computer technical teacher the department of Computer and Electronic at Firat University. She worked for one year as a Computer Teacher at government schools. End of her teaching experience year, she decided to be an academician. She received her master degree from the department of Science and Technology Policies Studies at Middle East Technical University. She studied “Research Assistants’ Science Perception” in her master thesis. Her research interests are educational technology, sociology of education, science and technology policies in organizations and technology & teacher education.

Sercan Çelik

Sercan Çelik is pursuing a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Middle East Technical University. Having graduated from Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus, Teaching English as a Foreign Language department, he started working at Ankara University School of Foreign Languages as English instructor. He also taught courses from A2 to C2 level according to CEFR in private institutions. His research interests include technology integration into education, teacher education, data driven learning and motivation.

Mustafa Şat

Mustafa Şat is a research assistant at the Faculty of Education (FEDU) and Master student at the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology at Middle East Technical University (METU) in Turkey. After graduated from METU as an undergraduate student in 2011, he worked 8 months as an instructional designer in private company. His destiny suddenly changed with a totally unexpected admission from FEDU as a research assistant. He is now following his unexpected destiny and pursuing his Master’s degree. For now, his research interest is limited to formative feedback practices in project-based courses and integration of technologies in teacher education.

Tuğba Altan

Tuğba Altan is a research assistant and PhD student at the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology (CEIT) at Middle East Technical University (METU), Turkey. She graduated from CEIT Department at Çukurova University in 2008. Then, she had her master degree from CEIT Department at Hacettepe University in 2011. She worked as an ICT teacher at two public elementary schools between years in 2008-2012. When she was ICT teacher in 2012, she decided to change her job and applied the ÖYP to become a research assistant. So, she worked a research assistant at CEIT department at Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University for six months. Now, she is pursuing her PhD degree to become a faculty member for this university. Her research interests are technology-rich educational innovations, technology integration into education, educational computer games, virtual worlds, multimedia learning and design, human-computer interaction, distance education.

Gamze Çetinkaya

Gamze Çetinkaya is a research assistant and a Ph.D. student in Elementary Education at Middle East Technical University. She received her undergraduate and master's degree from Elementary Science Education department at METU. Previously, she had also worked as a science and mathematics teacher at a private instituion in Ankara and as a research assistant at Sakarya University. She is now trying to complete her Ph.D. study and become an instructor in the field of elementary science education. Her research interests are nature of science, technology integration into science education and inquiry-based teaching.

Ahmet İlçi

Ahmet İLÇİ is a research assistant in Academical Support Group in Middle East Technical University Faculty of Education. He is master degree student in Computer Education and Instructional Technology Department. After graduating from Computer Education and Instructional Technology Department , he became a research assistant at January 2012. His research interest are mobile learning , human computer interaction and distance education.

Hatice Çilsalar

Hatice Çilsalar is a ÖYP research assistant at METU in the behalf of Bozok University for 2 years. Now, she is pursuing her PhD degree to become a faculty member for this university. She is a PhD student at the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Middle East Technical University (METU), Turkey. She graduated from Elementary Teacher Education Program at Erciyes University 2007. Then, she had her master degree from Curriculum and Instruction at Erciyes University in 2011. Her research interests are technology integration into education, teacher education, curriculum evaluation, instructional design.

Tuğba Bahçekapılı

Tuğba Bahçekapılı is a research assistant at the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology at Karadeniz Technical University, Turkey. She received her Bachelor and M.A. degree on Computer Education and Instructional Technology at Karadeniz Technical University (KTU) and having her PhD at the Department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology at Middle East Technical University. Prior to her position at KTU, she worked as a research assistant at the department of Elementary Education at Recep Tayip Erdogan University. Also she worked in a government school as a computer teacher before being an assistant for three months. It was an impressive and exciting experience for her and she would have wanted to work more as a teacher before being an academician in education faculty. Her research focuses on technology and teacher education, technology integration, technological leadership and mentoring, innovative use of technology in k-12 classrooms.

Halil Kayaduman

Halil KAYADUMAN is research assistant and Ph.D. student at the department of Computer Education and Instructional Technology (CEIT) at Middle East Technical University. He graduated from same department at Inonu University in 2008. After the graduation, he worked as Information Technology teacher at Ministry of National Education. His primary research area is technology in teacher education, design of distance education courses, educational feedback design for visual impairments, social networks in education, augmented reality, virtual worlds. Murat Kol

Murat Kol is a research assistant and a master student at the Department of Secondary Science and Mathematics Education at Middle East Technical University, Turkey. After the graduation from Mathematics Education at Middle East Technical University in 1999, he worked as a mathematics teacher at different levels of secondary education schools until 2011. Within 12 years of teaching experience he held the head of mathematics department position for seven years. His research interests comprises technology and teacher education, lesson study and mathematical modelling.
