SYNTAX
[edit source]FOR BOOK CATEGORY PAGES (1)
[edit source]Call this template without any parameters, on sub-category BOOK CATEGORY pages. The template will add the sub-category not only to the top-most parent category when the top parent is at most 21 generations away, but also to all intermediate parent categories along the way.
FOR STANDARD PAGES OF YOUR BOOK (2)
[edit source]Call this template with the book_category parameter set to a sub-category BOOK CATEGORY {ideally, the most leaf-like (aka child-like) category for the particular branch (branch in a tree data structure representation of the book's BOOK CATEGORY categories) under which you want to categorise}. This second type of syntax is appropriate for standard non-CATEGORY pages, such as the pages of your book. A maximum number of 20 generations in the parent hierarchy applies.
