Synopsis

[edit | edit source]
\divide <register> by <nonzero-integer>

Description

[edit | edit source]

The form <register> must be a register that contains either a number, dimension, or glue; and <nonzero-integer> is any integer except zero. The value in <register> is divided by <nonzero-integer> and the result is stored in <register> overwriting the original value. When both numerator and denominator are integer valued, the division is modular. In the case of glue, all three parts are divided by <nonzero-integer>.
