Tanchangya is an Indo-European language of Indo-Iranian sub-family, part of the Southeastern Bengali–Assamese branch of Eastern Indo-Aryan languages group. Tanchangya is spoken by Tanchangya people in Bangladesh, India, and Myanmar. It is closely related to Chakma, Bengali, Chittagonian, Assamese, Sylheti, Bishnupriya Manipuri and Rohingya language. There are 150,000 people who speak the Tanchangya language.
