An electric circuit is a complete path of electrical current formed by the interconnection of one or more sources with or without electric loads (resistant). Mainly electric circuits are 2 types. They are 1.AC Circuit and 2.DC Circuit. But here are more some kinds of circuit which shown below.

There are 2 types of electric circuit according to the source[edit | edit source]

They are active circuit and passive circuit. 1.Active circuit- This is a one kind of electric circuit which has one or more active electric sources. 2.Passive circuit- This is a one kind of electric circuit which has no electric source.

There are 3 types of electric circuit according to connection[edit | edit source]

They are series circuit, parallel circuit and mixed circuit. 1.Series circuit- Series circuit is an electric circuit which has one way for passing the current. 2.Parallel circuit- This is an electric circuit which has more than one way for passing the current. 3.Mixed circuit- Mixed circuit means that a circuit with series and parallel connection.

There are 2 types of electric circuit according to the characteristics of parameters[edit | edit source]

1.Linear circuit- This is an electric circuit whose parameters are always constant. And No.2 Non-linear circuit- This is an electric circuit whose parameters are non-constant.
