Either unable or unwilling to learn his tables, my nephew has been was struggling with multiplication. Apparently, flash cards and pencil to paper practice exercises seem archaic to a child who finds comfort and enjoyment in the 3-D high speed graphics and surround sound enhanced video extravaganzas.
