Ultra violet Waves have a frequency range between visible spectrum and x ray. Ultra violet radiation has wavelength shorter than the violet end of the visible spectrum, and longer than that of an x-ray.

Ultra violet Waves are high energy waves that can penetrate into matter and can knock off electron on surface of matter to become free electron thus change the conductivity of matter
