Beginner warning: Details follow which you may not wish to read at your current level.

We never actually see a live Puffskein in the books; most of our information comes from "Newt Scamander"'s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Mrs. Weasley does mention that she had found an old Puffskein nest under the couch at Grimmauld Place, but we must assume that they perished from neglect during the ten or so years that the house stood empty after Sirius Black's mother passed away.

Fred and George evidently breed a miniature, pastel-colored version, which they call Pygmy Puffs, and sell them from their joke shop.
