Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter/Magic/Finite
|Muggles' Guide to Harry Potter - Magic|
|Features||Ends a single spell|
|First Appearance||Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix|
Overview[edit | edit source]
The Finite charm, like the similar Finite Incantatem charm, is used to stop a spell's continuing effects. Finite seems to generally act on only one spell, where Finite Incantatem appears to act on all active spells in a locality.
Extended Description[edit | edit source]
Note that this spell, like all other working spells, seems to be based on Latin, and as such its incantation should be pronounced with three syllables rather than two.
