Mapudungun is a w:polysynthetic language where words are made up of particles, small words that changes different aspects of the word. By the use of these particles a verb can be turned into a noun, a noun into a verb and a adjective into a noun. A verb can be changed from present tense to past or future, a lot of changes are made by adding these particles.
Amun - To go, I went or I have gone.
Amuan - Im going to go. Amulen - I am going.
