Note: There are Beginner Skills in MapleSEA, as there has been a recent update.

Beginners have three skills, each with a max level of 3. Beginners are given 1 SP each level from levels 2-7, for a total of 6 SP over the three skills.

Skills[edit | edit source]

Three Snails[edit | edit source]

Throws a snail shell to inflict set damage with 100% accuracy.

Level 1: Uses a Green Snail Shell and 10 MP to do 10 damage to an enemy.

Level 2: Uses a Blue Snail Shell and 15 MP to do 25 damage to an enemy.

Level 3: Uses a Red Snail Shell and 20 MP to do 40 damage to an enemy.

Recovery[edit | edit source]

Uses MP to recover HP over a period of 30 seconds. Usable only once every 10 minutes.

Level 1: Uses 10 MP to recover 24 HP over 30 seconds.

Level 2: Uses 20 MP to recover 48 HP over 30 seconds.

Level 3: Uses 30 MP to recover 72 HP over 30 seconds.

Nimble Feet[edit | edit source]

Uses MP to provide a very short burst of speed. Usable only once every 15 minutes.

Level 1: Uses 10 MP for +10 Speed for 4 seconds.

Level 2: Uses 15 MP for +15 Speed for 8 seconds.

Level 3: Uses 20 MP for +20 Speed for 12 seconds.

Skill Builds[edit | edit source]

Since there are only three skills, not many skill builds may be made. Also, most skills are relatively ineffective past the beginner stage. However, depending on the class a beginner will be, some alternatives are better than others. Still, Beginner SP cannot be used on any other skills so there is little reason not to use these points.

Pre-Warrior, Pre-Bowman, Maple Island Perma-Beginner[edit | edit source]

  1. 3 Nimble Feet
  2. 3 Free

Warriors, Bowmen on Maple Island (and the Maple Island Perma-Beginners) will have the highest possible damage. As such, they do not need a move like Three Snails to inflict damage, though Recovery has little use once a Beginner hits level 10 and becomes a Warrior. A Bowman might still find some use from Recovery, however.

Pre-Magician[edit | edit source]

  1. 1 Three Snails
  2. 3 Recovery
  3. 2 Nimble Feet

Magicians on Maple Island have the lowest damage, rarely going above 2-3 points. The single point in Three Snails allows a Mage to throw a Green Snail Shell at another Green Snail, killing it instantly and possibly regaining that shell. Recovery heals a very large percent of HP to a Magician in exchange for a low percent of MP after the first job advancement. Nimble allows for a good speed boost before Teleport is effective.

Pre-Rogue[edit | edit source]

  1. 1 Three Snails
  2. 3 Recovery
  3. 2 Free

The reasoning behind this is simple: Rogues get Haste past first job, making Nimble a waste of points. Level 1 Three Snails is nice to throw a Green Snail Shell at another Green Snail, killing it instantly and possibly regaining that shell.
