Very similar to Type 1, but with “M/Ms” below left of value figures.

The lines of the value figures are of uniform thickness.

TM: DC with PO name in English at the top, with or without PO name in Arabic at the bottom.

V/F: 000 =000 =0000

a. TM DC without inscription (U65).

2.1. Universal Postal Frankers / Pitney Bowes-GB “Simplex” (LV). [Scarce, value uncertain]

As Type 1 but smaller frank and with much wider spacing.

M# "S1" to "S5" in boxes in lower corners.

TM: DC with PO name in English at the top, with or without PO name in Arabic at the bottom.

Values seen: 10, 45

3. Pitney Bowes-GB “5000” (MV). [$35]

Horizontal frank with simulated perforation outer frame.

Country name in panel at top above “POSTAGE”.

Small “M/Ms” breaks bottom frame line.

M# with “P.B.” prefix low, outside frank at left.

4. Pitney Bowes-GB “5300 Series” (MV). [$10]

Horizontal frank with irregularly scalloped outer frame line.

“POSTAGE/ PTS” at left of value figures, horizontal lines at right.

M# with “P.B.” prefix breaks bottom frame line.
