Portuguese India (Goa)
[edit | edit source]- The earliest meter stamp seen is from 1959.
- Meter stamps were used for only a short period of time until the colony was returned to India in 1962.
- The stamps are inscribed “CORREIOS DO ESTADO DA INDIA”.
- Although properly postally used examples of these stamps must exist, we have never seen one. The illustrations are from proofs.
