- The first meter was installed on 10 January 1959. By 1998, 464 meters were reported in use.
- Only French-manufactured Satas, Secap, Camp and GAPA machines are known used in the collectivity.
- The stamps are grouped by usage:
- A – used by private, commercial entities
- PO – generated only by machines in post offices
