  • The Republic of Guinea gained its independence in 1959. All stamps have REPUBLIQUE DU GUINEE in the frank. For meter stamps that came into use before 1959, see FRENCH WEST AFRICA.

Upright frank with simulated-perforation outer border with breaks in the sides.
M# with “SD” prefix.

Wide frank with double outer frame line.

Frank similar to Type 1 but slightly wider and without breaks in the sides.
"POSTES" at bottom above the meter number is straight rather than curved
